Personal training at The Swim Academy is a fully customized, one-on-one experience — designed to help you swim better, faster, and with more confidence.
Each session is tailored to your level, goals, and learning style. Together with your dedicated coach, you’ll follow a structured plan focused on technical mastery and personal growth. No two swimmers are the same — your journey is uniquely yours.
If you’re new to swimming or feel unsure in the water, we’ll guide you with patience and clarity — step by step, at your own pace. As your technique improves, so will your confidence, helping you feel calm, in control, and fully at home in the water — a sense of trust and ease that’s valuable at every level, whether you’re taking your first strokes or refining advanced technique.
Every training includes 45 minutes in the water, giving you the space to practice, adapt, and refine under light fatigue. Sessions start with land-based activation to prepare your body and sharpen your focus — because great swimming begins before you dive in.
You can train once, twice, or three times per week, depending on your goals and availability. This consistent rhythm allows you to build momentum, track your progress, and truly transform your technique.

Personal Training is available on most days, all year round. To get started, simply follow these steps:
1. Create an account
Download the TSA app and create your personal account. This gives you access to our user-friendly scheduling system, where you can view availability and manage your bookings.
2. Purchase your membership or single session
Before you can book a session, choose a membership (1x, 2x, or 3x per week) or purchase a single session. Memberships work with credits: for example, one session per week provides 4 credits every 4 weeks — or 8 credits for twice a week, and so on.
You can use your credits in two ways:
Flexible booking: choose time slots that fit your schedule and book sessions yourself via the app.
Fixed time slot: prefer a consistent weekly routine? Let your coach know during your first session. If available, we’ll reserve a fixed time for you — no need to book each week.
3. Choose your preferred time slot
Once you have credits, you can immediately start booking sessions in the app — unless you’ve arranged a fixed slot, in which case everything is scheduled for you automatically.
4. Join the waiting list (if needed)
If a time slot is fully booked, you can join the waiting list with a single tap in the app. You’ll automatically receive a notification when a spot becomes available.
Appropriate swimwear: a bikini or beach shorts are not comfortable for swimming. You may want to consider other options such as an one-piece swimsuit or swim trunk, as it provides better coverage and support.
Swimming goggle: for clear vision, eye protection, and enhanced performance. Try our examples on location and dive in with confidence!

You can cancel or reschedule your session free of charge up to 48 hours before the start time. After that, changes are no longer possible.
Your credits remain valid for 4 weeks. If you cancel in time and miss a session, you can use that credit to rebook another session within the same 4-week period.
Please note: credits cannot be carried over into the next month.

How long does it take to learn to swim?
That depends on your starting level, how often you train, and whether you’re able to practise independently. Nationally, most adults take around 1 to 1.5 years to learn to swim.
With personal training twice per week at The Swim Academy, many swimmers reach a confident level in just 3 to 6 months. In group lessons, this typically takes 6 to 12 months.
If you can add one or two independent practice sessions per week, your progress will accelerate even more. All our exercises are designed to help you become independent as quickly as possible.
With personal training, you also have unlimited access to ClubSportive – including the pool, gym, and wellness areas – so you can practise at your own pace throughout the week.
Consistency and routine are key — and our method gives you clear, motivating insight into your progress.

Is Personal Training suitable if I’ve never swum before?
Absolutely. Our coaches work with all levels — from absolute beginners to competitive swimmers. We always start with a short conversation to understand your goals and experience, so we can tailor the session to your needs and help you feel comfortable from the very beginning.
Can I choose my coach?
Yes — when booking your sessions in the app, you’ll always see which coach is teaching that time slot. While availability depends on the schedule, we aim to match you with a coach who suits your goals and communication style.
Not completely satisfied after your first session? No problem — our Swim Instructor Guarantee allows you to either switch to another coach or get a refund for your unused credits. Your satisfaction comes first.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
We provide high-quality training materials at our locations. You’re welcome to try different gear during your session, and if you like, you can purchase your own goggles or accessories directly on-site or through our webshop.
For comfort, we recommend bringing your own swimwear, towel, and goggles if you already have them.
Yes. If you’re a member of Special Sports, you can select the discounted subscription option during checkout — marked as (Special Sports member).
Please note: this option does not include access to the club. If you’re not a Special Sports member and choose this rate, you’ll need to buy a separate day pass at the front desk to access the facilities.

If your first lesson is anything less than exceptional, let us know, and we will either refund your unused lesson time or restart your lesson package with a more suitable instructor—your choice!
